Performax USB Windows 8 Workaround

NOTE: The following steps are only required if using Arcus driver 1.30 or previous. Versions 1.40 and later are digitally signed by Microsoft.

By default, Windows 8 prevents non-digitally signed USB drivers to be installed.  The following is a temporary workaround when facing this issue.

**********************************

FOR WINDOWS 8

**********************************

1. From the Metro Start Screen, open Settings (move your mouse to the bottom-right-corner of the screen and wait for the pop-out bar to appear, then click the Gear icon).

2. Click ‘More PC Settings’ or 'Change PC Settings'

3. Click ‘General’.

4. Scroll down, and click ‘Restart now’ under ‘Advanced startup’.

5. Click ‘Troubleshoot’.

6. Click ‘Advanced Options’

7. Click ‘Startup Settings’

8. Click Restart.

9. When the computer restarts, select “Disable driver signature enforcement” from the list. Attempt to reinstall the driver after this is done.

**********************************

FOR WINDOWS 8.1

**********************************

1. From the Metro Start Screen, open Settings (move your mouse to the bottom-right-corner of the screen and wait for the pop-out bar to appear, then click the Gear icon).

2. Click ‘More PC Settings’ or 'Change PC Settings'

3. Click ‘Update and Recovery’.

4. Click 'Recovery'.

5. Scroll down, and click ‘Restart now’ under ‘Advanced startup’.

6. Click ‘Troubleshoot’.

7. Click ‘Advanced Options’

8. Click ‘Startup Settings’

9. Click Restart.

10. When the computer restarts, select “Disable driver signature enforcement” from the list. Attempt to reinstall the driver after this is done.

 **********************************

Note that you may need to use the Device Manager to manually point to the correct driver location after this is done. To do this open the Device Manager (Windows button + X is you are using keyboard), and find the Arcus device. Right click it, select to manually browse to the driver location and browse to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Arcus Technology\Drivers, Libraries, Source\Performax USB v1.30 location.

First check whether Windows detects your drive when you plug in. Press Windows Key + R, type "diskmgmt.msc" into the Run dialog, and press "Enter". You should see your USB device listed in the "Disk Management". shareit app vidmate apk

https://apkmouse.com gave me a shared Mod app that I absolutely love, when I use it with all the functions.
