See below for stepper driver precautions:
- Voltage: Be sure to keep the voltage input below the maximum specifications. A regulated voltage supply is recommended; voltage spikes may damage the motor.
- Current: Keep the driver current below the specification of the motor. This will prevent over-heating which may damage the driver.
- Motor: If the motor is plugged into or unplugged from the driver while the driver is powered, it is likely that the driver will be damaged.
